At Mountain Bass Music HQ, we are passionate for nature, wildlife and the environment. We strongly believe that, as a species, we should live symbiotically with the ecosystem that surrounds us and we are deeply committed to reverse and not contribute further to the damage that has already been inflicted to our planet.

Because of this, we want to make all our endeavours and events as carbon neutral, or negative, as possible. We do so in two ways:

1) by increasing operational efficiencies and exploring possible synergies to reduce our own carbon footprint and that of attendees.

2) by creating specific projects and activities to increase awareness and deliver practical solutions to the wildlife and environmental issues that affect the area where each of our events take place.

We are also deeply committed to social equality and in creating fair opportunities for the populations and areas that we operate in. Through our work, we hope to contribute to level the playing field in disadvantaged or unknown rural areas which can benefit from the spotlight brought in by the brand and its events.

Lastly, in our events, we want to contribute to reversing the negative connotation of running music shows by demonstrating to locals that we are a respectable community of music lovers who care about people and places around us. All our attendees are required to behave like positive ambassadors in accordance to our social and environmental policies.

Check out this page, below, every time we announce a new event to see what associated environmental and social sustainability projects we are up to!

The Mountain Bass Experience 2024 environmental and social sustainability:

- We reduced our carbon footprint by organising rideshares to/from and during the event, ensuring all vehicles always ran full or near full capacity, privileging walking and cycling whenever possible and eliminating the need for external private transport.

- We researched and provided enough information for members to choose from the most environmentally friendly public transport options and team up to exploit  efficiencies.

- We actively engaged the local public and small businesses to promote and offer their skills, services and products to our audience over externally sourced or large companies.

Climate Protest
Plastic Bottle at Beach

- We offered very affordable homemade, food & drink options at our venues, in line with every-day local prices and used locally sourced ingredients from small producers.

- We only used utensils made of washable glass, reusable & recycled plastics or biodegradable vegware as well as biodegradable bin bags and catering gloves.

- We included a fun landscape cleaning competition in our programme for all members. Unfortunately, this had to be cancelled due to unforeseen extreme weather, so we've been compensating for its absence by pledging and executing ourselves a parallel, equivalent litter-picking project with the goal of picking at least 1 full biodegradable 30-50L bag for each attendee (follow our mission here (Instagram) or here (Facebook).

- As individuals, as part of our quest to find new locations, we have reduced our water usage by 95% and our non-renewable/polluting electricity consumption by 100%, effectively achieving "off-the-grid" living.

Non for profit events in unique locations fostering a community of like minded music and mountain lovers.
