WHAT IS THE MOUNTAIN BASS EXPERIENCE?

The Mountain Bass Experience is a members a unique, intimate, 5 day music experience capped at just 100 people with a focus on liquid and atmospheric drum & bass music and nature based activities in stunning mountain locations, off the beaten track. We are a not-for-profit members club aiming to give back to the community through taking a different approach to events as well as offering true value to all those involved, based on experience gained over the last 20 years as attendees, performers and industry professionals. We strive to be inclusive, give new artists opportunities to grow and hone their skills whilst gaining valuable industry connections and experience.

Our goal is to redefine event culture with an ethos on community growth, artist development, enjoying nature and outdoors through creating unique, sustainable experiences that challenge current industry norms. Unlike traditional events, our focus is on fostering personal connections among attendees, organizers, and artists, creating a space for lasting friendships and a global network.

We're driven by fulfilment of all who attend, procuring truly unique opportunities that are not bound by the current industry practices and a passion to level the playing field for new artist development.

In addition to featuring globally renowned artists, we support emerging talent which benefits the scene as a whole and supports organic grassroots event growth.

As an event based in unique and jaw-dropping locations, we offer artists the exclusive opportunity to record videos, podcasts and any other form of video footage which constitutes one of the greatest assets provided to them and ensures maximum visibility outcomes to both musicians and the event.

Each event is held in a remote, carefully selected area, combining music performances in beautiful natural settings with outdoor adventures, daily activities and night parties. Our inaugural event took place in Arinsal, Andorra (Winter 2023), followed by an autumn adventure in Sierra Nevada, Spain (Autumn 2024). For our 2025 event we are taking our club members to the Pico's De Europa national park between the 9th-13th of June. Every edition offers fresh experiences and new locations.

As well as developing emerging producers, DJs and even attendees through our open deck sessions, DJ competitions and more, we also provide opportunities for videographers, photographers, sound engineers, music industry freelancers, wellness practitioners and activity providers to hone and showcase skills as the event concept grows. With the inclusion of strategic collaborators, they can help this project to grow to its full potential and reach new audiences with the eventual goal of organising multiple, successive events in a range of locations in the UK and one annual event abroad.

WHY PARTNER WITH US?

Through clever marketing of your products and the use of videos, reels and unique activities during our event, we would like to promote you as our professional audio solution partner. We would use your equipment in some of our outdoor an indoor locations, some which are very remote, deep in the heart of the heavily protected national park, enabling us to organise a number of outdoor, music based experiences with a sustainable approach using a high quality, directional sound that doesn't generate unnecessary sound spill over and noise pollution.

This year, we are planning a series of music experiences, completely immersed in the mountains and nature as well as club nights and night parties in small, local venues. â€‹

Due to the sensitive nature of the areas we're working in, the careful choice of reasonably portable, lightweight and quality focussed audio solution selected for outdoor use will be a key element for promotion. Likewise, the event could provide a unique opportunity to market the audio solution in beautiful natural landscapes which would otherwise be very difficult if it wasn't for our hard work in engaging support and opportunities from the local communities and authorities.

(Photo: Riya at MB2024)

We believe we can facilitate a unique opportunity for visibility, supporting the association of VOID equipment with places of incredible natural beauty, which aligns perfectly with the sense of aesthetics and sound quality that your products represent. We are looking for a compact solution that's easy to install with a high quality, directional sound enabling us to showcase headline and support artists performing outside with mountain backdrops. We will also have indoor locations using a night club and other local venues where a quick, easy setup and equipment that's easy to move will be an important factor.

We need equipment that provides a professional quality but doesn't generate noise pollution in the natural and protected environments we operate in. As it is challenging to get permission to perform amplified music in protected national parks, as per our experience in previous years, this option will be preferred by local authorities and it aligns with our ethos of fostering relationships in small communities and working to reduce the stigma of the impact outdoor electronic music events can have. We cap our attendees at 100 people which also reduces our impact and enables us to secure truly unique, jaw dropping venues.

We see alignment between our brands in terms of product and experience aesthetics, sound quality and compact design while we can facilitate operating in remote, often sensitive areas, where other equipment would not be suitable. With your support we believe we have brand synergies to explore and capitalise on.

IMPACT AND VISIBLITY

Despite being entirely self funded, with only organic growth, we are experiencing good traction on social media. We believe with sponsorship and partnerships, we can greatly increase this reach and develop unique marketing opportunities.

Last year, we were reaching 30,000 website hits per month as well as gaining over 1,200 new Instagram and FB followers separately, despite not paying for ads, not having a marketing budget and, therefore, solely growing organically through word of mouth and social media posts. We’ve had 68,000 + views on our direct stories and reels over the last 90 days on Instagram alone this year, but this does not account for the greatest element of our visibility which arises from the artists and headliners accounts, who consistently support and share our posts, generating up to 150,000 views so far. With your support, we feel we can greatly increase this reach through some collaborative posts, engaging reels, fresh ideas for product marketing and shares.

HEADLINE ARTISTS MEDIA EXAMPLE

As an example of what we can produce, Keeno used our inaugural event as a platform to record his first album release video his own, new label, Keeno music. This EP was titled 'Courage' and represented his feelings about leaving the biggest global DnB label to start his own journey where he could be creatively free. He also launched a new sub genre "Orchestral drum and bass" and the video, facilitated by Mountain Bass, generated over 49,000 views (see video on the right). We will be using a videographer again for this year's event and expect a similar quality output for our reels showcasing your products.

WHAT WE REQUIRE

For this idea to succeed, we would ask for the supply of a professional Audio solution. As we're a non-profit event, we are exploring partnerships to greatly reduce or even better, eliminate our outright purchase or hire costs. In previous years we have been greatly let down by the sound which has not only been a sub-standard quality but had to be very loud to gain the desired results. Due to the complicated, rigorous process of obtaining permits from local authorities, we need a better solution that provides a high quality sound that doesn't need to be very loud enabling our attendees and artists to enjoy the music as it should be heard without disrupting the local communities and wildlife, this is especially pertinent this year in Pico's Europa.

Although we've been around Void equipment at many of the other events we work for such as Boomtown fair and Glastonbury, we will require a slightly different approach for this event. The product we are most interested in is the VOID Venu 210 or Cyclone Series due to their relative portability, self powering and professional quality however, you're the professionals so we'd love to hear what you suggest! â€‹â€‹â€‹

DELIVERABLES

We will promote you as our professional audio supplier partner on our website and social media comms and we will design reels leading up to the event as well as during and post event, using the equipment in incredible, natural, outdoor settings.  We will design at least one music based activity outdoors in a picturesque, remote mountain location. This will be filmed, recorded and edited with sets from established headliners and support acts which will then be used for reels and videos by all of us, including headliners.  As our event itinerary grows, we are currently exploring permits to perform music in extremely remote but jaw dropping locations in which we may only be able to perform music if we have demonstrated the careful choice of audio and noise pollution mitigation. This will generate multiple opportunities for reels, edits and marketing material promoting and associating your equipment with environmental impact as a core deliverable.
